Check out the Central Washington Miniature Horse Club website at cwmhc.org for more information on how to get signed up for the GI program. Condition of Entry: Every entry for competition will be under the jurisdiction of the Central Washington Miniature Horse Club (CWMHC) show management, but the CWMHC will, in no case, be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur. It shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the Horse Show, the CWMHC management, the CWMHC, and the TRAC Facility, harmless for any loss or injury to their horses or equipment which may occur from sickness, accident or any other factor. Entry Procedures: Entries must be on the official entry form for this show; they may be photocopied. Forms will not be accepted unless they are complete and accompanied by required fees and a copy of the registration papers for each horse entered. Numbers will not be released without full payment of all fees. Phone entries will not be accepted. Exhibitors are responsible for the accuracy of entry forms prepared by themselves or their agents. For foals not yet registered, send photocopies of the application for registration. For newly purchased horses, send photocopies of registration and transfer forms. Gelding registration papers must be changed to read “gelding” before the horse is eligible to show in gelding classes. DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS June 25, 2008 Post Entries ~ Adding Classes Post entries or added classes will be accepted up to five classes prior to the class entering the ring; provided the horse is eligible for entry. Post entries made for the first five classes of each day will be accepted up to 1/2 hour prior to the first class entering the ring. Post entries made during the show must be made at the show office and be accompanied by full payment. Scratched classes ~ Refunds Entry fees will not be refunded without a veterinarian’s statement as to the unsoundness of the entered horse. This must be presented to the show secretary before the first class of the day. Failure to show a horse that has been entered constitutes a forfeiture of entry fees. In the event of the sudden illness of a horse after the entry deadline, another animal may be substituted. If done at the show, it must be done within the time frame outlined in the post entry section. Refunds will be mailed after the conclusion of the show. Show Rules & Regulations: This is an ASPC/AMHR/ASPR sanctioned show, open to any ASPC/AMHR/ASPR horse whose exhibitor is able to show proof of valid registration. Horses will be judged and classes run in accordance with ASPC/AMHR/ASPR rules. It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to know the rules and regulations, as well as the requirements of each class entered. A copy of the official rulebook may be found in the show office. Exhibitors must provide a copy of valid registration with their entry form for each horse entered. Non rated Classes: 50/50 Costume class is open to ALL minature horses and ponies that are eligible to be shown at this show. Class fee for this class ONLY is $5.00 per entry. The deadline for entry into this class ONLY is 12:00pm on Saturday, July 19th, 2008. There will be no ribbons awared in this class. The winner will receive 50% of the entry money received for this class ONLY and the remaining 50% will go toward the gelding incentive. Class shall be shown in same manner as other costume classes offered. AMHR PMC Mare/Gelding Halter Obstacle 38" and under NON Rated shall be shown under the same rules as AMHR Youth Halter Obstacle. AMHR PMC Mare/Gelding Hunter 38" and under NON Rated shall be shown under the same rules as AMHR Youth Hunter. Gate Rule: Each exhibitor is responsible for monitoring the progress of the classes and being prepared to enter the ring promptly when a class has been called, without prior public notice. The gate will remain open for two minutes after the class has been called to enter the ring. Horses not in the arena when the gate is closed will be eliminated from the class and entry fee will not be refunded. Breaks have been incorporated into the show schedule for necessary tack changes and to set up equipment. Additional gate holds not to exceed two minutes requested by exhibitors, may be called at the discretion of the show manager. All gate holds must be requested from the show office at least four classes in advance of the requested hold. Measuring: All horses must be measured in accordance with ASPC/AMHR/ASPR rules. If your horse has a current year measurement card or has been measured within the last 60 days, please submit a copy of the card with your entry. All horses will be measured by the show steward with the same official certified measuring stick. To expedite the measuring process, please come to the measurement area with everything but the halter removed from your horses. A copy of registration papers MUST be presented to the Show Steward at the time of measurement for each animal Measuring times: Thursday July 17th 4:00pm to 8:00pm Friday July 18th 7:00am to 8:00am Saturday July 19th 7:00am to 8:00am Sunday July 20th by appointment Lunch and Dinner Breaks: No specific lunch break has been scheduled. Show management and Judges will determine the progress of classes and announce a lunch break to occur as close to 12:00 noon as possible. Classes will be run according to the schedule unless announced otherwise. A dinner break will be called if necessary. Stabling: Stalls are available for $48 for the weekend (Thursday night thru Sunday afternoon). This will include two bales of shavings. Maximum of two horses per stall. Stalls are pre-assigned, no changes without the approval of the show secretary. Stalls are assigned in the order entries are received and must be paid for with the entry. Those wishing to be stalled next to each other must order their stalls together under one name. There will be no refund on stalls unless show management asks you to give up a stall due to a shortage. If all stalls are reserved prior to receiving your entry, show management will attempt to notify you prior to the show. Horses may not be kept in trailers overnight, unless there is a stall shortage and exhibitors are requested to do so if able. If you plan to arrive earlier that Thursday afternoon (July 17) please contact the show coordinator at 541-215-0092. If you plan to stay later than Sunday afternoon following the show (July 20), please contact the show coordinator or show secretary at the Facility. Important Notes ~ Protests and Unruly Conduct Protests concerning ASPC/AMHR/ASPR recognized classes must be filed as outlined in the official rulebook. All other protests must be lodged in writing with the show secretary within one hour of the last session of the day when the problem occurred. The protest must be accompanied by a $100 deposit which will be returned if the protest is sustained. Abuse to animals, show personnel or other exhibitors will result in disqualification of the offender for the duration of the show. Disqualification will result from an unmanageable horse or other condition that endangers safety. Horses not in their stalls shall not be left unattended. All dogs must be kept on a leash. Alcoholic beverages not allowed in public areas ~ RCW66.44.100 The names of local Veterinarians & Farriers will be posted in the show office windows ~ to be visible at all times. TRAC Facility, Pasco, WA: The TRAC Arena is located right along I-82 in Pasco, Washington at the Road 68 exit. It is a huge facility with plenty of amenities within walking distance including a hotel right on site. Make reservations early. Driving directions: From Seattle, take I-82 to Yakima/Tri-Cities, and follow it just like you were going to Walla Walla, however take the Road 68 exit and you will see the Trac Facility.
